Anime – Whatever happened to just enjoying it?

Seriously, some people write the dumbest entries and get a ton a feedback. Never in my life have I ever considered writing some of the entries people write. How is this kind of stuff popular? Do people really enjoy reading long ass entries about what some fat guy thinks the real definition of moe is this time or whatever?

Also, who cares how you write your own anime blog. Episodic. Editorial. It probably sucks anyway no matter what format you write your blog in. Some are just more entertaining than others, and those are the ones where people put their own personal flair into it and they are the ones I end up reading often. Write what you like writing about and in that way and work to improve it in whatever way you can.

Whether or not it is better to write an episodic or an editorial anime blog sounds more like a personal problem. A problem about which draws in the most hits or which is more entertaining and better. I personally don’t read episodic blogs because why read a blog about something that summarizes a show that I could watch on my own time and enjoy. I also don’t read editorial blogs because most of the time they are tl;dr, I just don’t have time to read something a few pages long that really isn’t intellectually stimulating and about a topic that really doesn’t interest me. There you have it they’re both bad.

I like short, concise and straight to the point.

Are we all just watching anime to blog about it or blogging to write about anime we’ve watched? Does anyone even enjoy the anime they watch anymore?

Come on, get it together.

    Contradiction much?

But yeah, sometimes I do think the meta-arguing in the community gets a bit heavy.

    I’m a troll. I’m full of contradictions.

I’m confused, is this post meant to be satirical commentary on the futility of meta-blogging, or are you being serious?

    > Seriously, some people write the dumbest entries and get a ton a feedback.

Please tell me the irony of this was intentional.

    > Also, who cares how you write your own anime blog.
    > I like short, concise and straight to the point.

So you adopt a stance of apathy concerning the writings of others, yet at the same time have a personal preference as to how they structure their posts.

    > I personally don’t read episodic blogs [...] I also don’t read editorial blogs

    lolwut

    > Are we all just watching anime to blog about it or blogging to write about anime we’ve watched? Does anyone even enjoy the anime they watch anymore?

    No. Yes.

You know those episodic blogs you tend to ignore? A vast majority of them do more than screencap + summarize. There’s a fair bit of reasoning into WHY episode x was good or y was bad and personal opinions, etc etc. There’s a lot of overlap but each person undoubtedly has their own point to add to the discussion, else there would be any and the blog would die out.

If you don’t like other blogs, don’t read them, that’s fine, there’s no one stopping you from staying within the bubble of your own site. But don’t go throwing meta-blogging posts around with little knowledge of the subject at hand.

On the other hand, if you’re trolling. 4/10, a respectable score.
