Oh, I finally got this Yukari Tamura reference
For a while now I’ve been wondering why there is Japanese fan art of Yukarin holding a Noh mask or being called Hannya. Recently I actually learned about Noh in my Japanese Literature class and it clicked. Some girls were putting on a presentation about it and it was presented in a pretty boring manner but one of the clips they showed was something like Tamura Dance of the Ghost. I finally understood what Yukarin had to do with Noh theatre and it made sense. Japan and their play on words and word puns.
I’m glad this mystery has now been solved.
