Code Geass R2 07 – An embarrassing but needed episode

To me this episode was a huge embarrassment. No, it didn’t suck or anything of that sort. Just I could not stand watching Lelouch be all emo for the entirety of this episode. It just seemed kinda odd because it’s a side of Lelouch that hasn’t really been seen until up to this point. Up until this point Lelouch has been pretty confident and such when it comes to carrying out his plans. Lately this season seems to have brought nothing but failure for the Order of the Black Knights, and as a fan of Zero and his resistance I’m a little disheartened to see things progressing at a snails pass for them.

Lelouch losing his focus was a pretty needed thing to cover though, and not entirely filler. Since now that Nunnally is becoming a freaking Euphie clone, Lelouch needs to figure out WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOOOOOR!!!! Just what is he thinking at the end of this episode? Is he going to surrender?

Nunnally = Fail

It’s so annoying that Nunnally is turning into a Euphie clone. I liked Euphie for a while but once Euphie got to the point she got to she became a little meh… Now Nunnally is following in her footsteps. Footsteps to failure! Nunnally is going to die somewhere between episodes 10 to 13. It would be an excellent plot point to end the halfway mark. It would push Lelouch back into the fight. I’m probably wrong but it could happen?

Kaguya-hime seems to be a regular now of the supporting cast. It’s so awesome that she wouldn’t mind if Zero was seeing other women, and it’s about damn time she starts getting grouped in with Zero’s harem.

Sexy

And last week, I went on about how cute Kaguya-hime is and her new costume. In this episode, Kallen was looking pretty cute. I am such a fan of droopy eyed and straight haired Kallen then the her that is seen in the Order. I am really a fan of girly clothes and accessories on older women, but that rant is for another entry. Kallen was looking real cute for this scene where she almost got taken advantage of. She so wants Lelouch though. If Lelouch doesn’t get with Kaguya, my second choice would probably be Kallen. Anyone is better than Shirley or C.C.

There was some yaoi undertones going on but I think it cancels itself out after how Lelouch was pretty close to just sexual harassing Kallen due to his recent emo feelings. Still weird though. Rolo is not one of my most favorite characters in this show so far. He should have stayed a bad guy for longer or something.

At this point, I have no idea where this show is going to go. It worries me because it could lead to fail but intrigues me at the same time because it could lead to win. I so hope it just gets better.
