It’s getting closer and closer to the time I’ll leave for Japan. A little excited and a little nervous too. Anyway, I’ve been working a lot and I’ve been mostly watching a lot of old shows from past seasons like I do every summer. I have so many shows I want to watch but time is running out and I know I won’t get to all of them.

I have yet to get to some shows I have like Mahou Tsukai Tai TV and Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, and then series I have but just stopped watching like StrikerS, season 2 of Zero no Tsukaima, Hayate, and Rental Magica. I’m trying to make it a top priority to get Maison Ikkoku done and Cowboy Bebop done at least. Damn, Maison is so freaking long, but a good worth while show. It’s the longest anime I’ve ever watched so far in my 13 years as an anime fan.
Then I was looking through some old Megami Magazine issues I have and found some posters that weren’t hung up for some reason.

Sola started pretty cool then trainwrecked itself. At least the OST is pretty good.
GTO or Slayers would be my choices from that list.
Oh yeah Agent Aika can be substituted with a set of panties. If there can be a panty shot, they’ll be one if that shot.

I get a little fuzzy feeling inside of me every time someone mentions Code-E, but then I realize that’s just my elitist self going ‘yay, someone else recgonizes that show’. It was a good (but slow) slice-of-life slash supernatural-romance, that might be up your alley, but the ending was REALLY rushed and horrible.
Although, there is a sequel this summer, but that doesn’t look all that good either.
Anonymous is probably close to the money on sola; I liked it very much personally, but it does have quite a few plotholes and silly turns near the end of the show. If you can take it as a dramatic work instead of analyzing it to death, it should be good though.
And for the last show I can try to propaganda-ize you on, Minami-ke was a funny, fat-free Azumanga substitute … I suppose it was good while I watched it, but I couldn’t even muster myself to finish the second season. One of those anime that won’t hurt you if you do or don’t watch it.
(Oh, and if you want a creepy fanboy connection, I have that Sumomo poster on my wall too.)
