Nogizaka Haruka no Pantyhose… I mean Himitsu 01-02

So, yeah I’ve tried to watch this show a few times but always stopped and deleted the file right before the opening song started. It just gave me this feeling like I’m a loser for watching this or something lol. Although, it really isn’t as loser inducing as I though after watching episodes 1 and 2. This watch was better than expected, but still damn mediocre for a first episode, but got pretty good in episode 2. I tell you these light novels to anime have never really let me down. Baccano, Full Metal Panic, Kino no Tabi, Haruhi Suzumiya no Yuutsu, and what not have all been some of the more favorite shows I’ve watched in the past five years.

The heroine, Haruka, got me going aww, so moe, kawaii and cute a few times during the episode so I guess her appearance did what they intended or whatever. It’s a little odd how the female heroine is basically some girl that likes anime and feels others may find her weird because of that. Although, high school is a pretty rough time where people judge you just by things like that, and what not. Honestly, I don’t get this since she’s cute so I’m sure any guy would go out with her and just disregard her hobbies. Not to mention her hobbies would just make anime male fans like her more. This just comes down to… Can you say otaku pandering, everyone? Other than that the heroine is pretty standard moeblob, but there are some pantyhose fanservice here and there in this first episode. So, that’s fine by me. Haruka is basically just a Mikuru clone who is really into anime and voiced by Mamiko Noto.

The male lead isn’t too bad. He looks kinda nerdy but isn’t very loser like and actually more on the normal side. Haruka actually seems more like the loser in this case. He does have two older women that hang around him at home that seem to boss him around so he loses some point there for not standing up for himself in that regard, but other than that he doesn’t seem to much like a loser. But if this show turns into a harem show down the line I will be so pissed off for some reason!

I’m not really sure where the show will go because you basically have this guy who finds out this “perfect” girl at high school likes anime, and he keeps it a secret because if other people found out I guess she won’t be so “perfect” anymore, I dunno. It’s just a story so I guess it shouldn’t be taken so seriously. I’m sure there is bound to be some hyjinx here and there. Maybe some harem garbage later on, but right now the show has been pretty clean and the fanservice has been kinda enjoyable. I think this is kinda interesting seeing the girl in the anime nerd position for once so I’m going to keep watching for now. I really like the OP animation but the ED seems to be what most people like more. I find it pretty mediocre and the animation actually looks kinda fuzzy in my opinion.
