Maria†Holic 01 – I want more of this show!

Wow, what a fun and entertaining first episode. Loved it. I have nothing to complain about. Nothing at all. Maria†Holic has some beautiful animation too. It looks kinda grainy like and reminds me of how Honey and Clover was animated. Also, being a Shaft show, I like how it lacks the typical stupid ass/obscure jokes they are known for and actually replace it for amusing and entertaining jokes. The main female character, despite being a homo, is quite entertaining when she gets butthurt too. I love the maid she is really cute, deadpan and blunt over 9000.

God damn you ANN for spoiling the show for me with your damned plot summaries that do more harm than good. I know it is revealed in the first episode but I would rather have been surprised! Traps. Delicious traps.

I like the end song. I actually heard it for the first time yesterday at Wonder Goo. It’s kinda funny actually because I thought they were playing Mei ling’s image song Kotchi wo Muite from Cardcaptor Sakura. I was wondering why the hell they were playing such an old song until I found out it wasn’t. They sound so similar, at least the refrain does. I am totally not kidding. Maybe I am just crazy.

For some reason I am rather not satisfied with what I wrote. It doesn’t seem like enough, but I really have nothing much to say. You should really be watching this episode than reading this anyway. A good first episode so I recommend at least giving it a try. I liked it a lot, and it was mindless fun. I’m really looking forward to episode 02, and I hope it doesn’t turn into cliche jokes and weird animation that is known to come from Shaft. Shit! Am I actually getting back into anime again? Whoa!
