Too bad it’s the worst game in the franchise

Well, I have finally lived to see the day a Sakura Taisen game reaches the American shore. I don’t know how to really feel. Fans have waited years for this series to be in English. I love the Sakura Taisen franchise, and I have ever since I read about it on the Saturn. I love the DC games and everything about the series… Just not 5. Yeah, obviously 5 is what would be coming over with it’s updated graphics, and American setting. Too bad it’s 5 that is getting released first because it is the weakest of the franchise. They should have just started with the remake of 1!
When I imported 5, I honestly didn’t play it that long. There was a lot that I didn’t feel was right about 5. I dunno, maybe I was just pissed that NCSX took forever to get my limited edition copy to me and my interest faded. I honestly did give it much of a chance. I knew zero Japanese too at the time, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying the other games in the franchise. They did have a fan translation though… Regardless, 5 just didn’t feel right to me.
Oh, well I will probably buy the game in English even though I own a Japanese copy already. I really want to show my support for the English release, and I’m glad that it is at least a company like NIS is handling it because I know they’ll at least treat it well. Hey, we might even get the original Japanese voices.
I probably can say that if this sells well there might be no doubt the remake of Sakura Taisen 1 will make its way as well. 3 would probably come too but they never did remake 2 and 4 so I wonder how that would go? I know 2 was released on the psp along with 1 but… Hrm.
Well, I know I must sing some Sakura Taisen songs at karaoke tonight in celebration though.

Here’s to hoping that there will be very minimal namechanges or whatnot in the finished product. I’m not a very picky gamer, but I wonder if they’ll do a dual audio for ST5, or go with English dubs…
Then again, chances for dual audio is pretty low, since the game uses dual layered mediums, iirc…
Ah, that’s a shame.
Actually I am pretty excited that the game will be for the Wii too. I never expect that. Yes, I must admit, the characters designs from V aren’t as good as the ones from Sakura Taisen 1 and 3 but is still Sakura Taisen.
How lucky of you to sing sakura taisen karaoke. I just wish I could hear you sing.
Yeah, I was surprised to see it will be for the Wii as well.
